Romeo Ferraris driver Bruno Spengler was diagnosed with a spinal fracture after his high-speed crash during the FIA ETCR Pool Fast Super Final at Vallelunga.
After initial checks in the circuit’s Medical Centre the Canadian was transferred to a hospital in Rome, where further examination revealed a mild fracture of T6 thoracic vertebrae.
“My focus is now directed towards a speedy recovery to be back in the car as soon as possible and for the rest of the season,” Spengler wrote in his facebook page. “I’d like to thank the whole medical team, and everyone involved in the series for helping and supporting me. Huge and special thanks go to Michela Cerruti and the Romeo Ferraris team for their solidarity and consideration towards their pilot’s safety. The support the team provided me with is one I’ve very rarely came across in my career. The Romeo Ferraris family gives me the energy to push harder and get back as fast as I can.”
