Romeo Ferraris has announced that Oliver Webb will complete the driver line-up for the 2021 season of the PURE ETCR. The 30-year-old Briton joins the already announced Stefano Coletti, Luca Filippi and Rodrigo "Digo" Baptista to drive one of the Alfa Romeo Giulia ETCR by Romeo Ferraris in the new series for electric cars that will kick off at Vallelunga on 18/20 June.
Webb has already tested the car built by the Opera-based constructor during the official tests. He had the opportunity evaluate the car on different levels of power and quickly foundy an excellent working approach with the staff of Romeo Ferraris.
Webb's curriculum includes brilliant results in single-seater competition, from Formula Renault 2.0, British F3, Formula Renault 3.5 to Indy Lights, but also in endurance racing. In 2014, he won the European Le Mans Series and took a LMP2 class podium at the Le Mans 24 Hours.
Romeo Ferraris has further defined the pairings in the two Giulia ETCR cars for 2021: Coletti and Filippi will share one, with Baptista and Webb in the other one.

Webb added: “I’m extremely excited to be joining the Pure ETCR series with Romeo Ferraris. It’s a new venture for me with my first time in touring cars and also my first time in an electric series full time. I can’t wait for the challenge and with limited testing ahead I’m excited to keep progressing my knowledge of the car and working closely with the team for some great results in 2021.”
