Romeo Ferraris announced that Jean-Karl Vernay will drive the Alfa Romeo Giulia ETCR in the PURE ETCR series. This follows the start of a successful cooperation in the FIA WTCR between Team Mulsanne and Vernay with the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR by Romeo Ferraris.

Michela Cerruti, Romeo Ferraris Operations Manager said: “I am very happy to announce that Jean-Karl is also part of our plans concerning electric racing. In the weeks he has been working with us in the WTCR, he has been immediately at ease with our team and the personnel that works from home who are all directly involved in the design and development of the Alfa Romeo Giulia ETCR. We look forward to the first chapter of a new story that will certainly be... electrifying!" 

Jean-Karl Vernay echoed: “I’m glad to have the possibility to contribute to a unique new project. I want to thank Romeo Ferraris and especially Michela Cerruti and Mario Ferraris who have believed in me and reconfirmed their confidence entrusting me an important and exciting task like developing a new car. It is something that I have done in the past, but it will be the first time I do it for an electric car, and this is tremendously attractive and motivating as well looking at the new innovative PURE ETCR concept developed by Eurosport Events."
